The service, plainly

VAT is where the calendar is least forgiving. A quarterly return falls due on the 15th of the second month after the quarter ends, and it falls due whether or not that quarter’s bookkeeping has been finished. We handle registration through the MTCA portal, then keep the records far enough ahead that each return is prepared from work already done.

The pressure points

Where businesses struggle with VAT & duty services

  • A quarter that closes before the books do

The return is due on a fixed date, so bookkeeping running a month behind turns every quarter into a scramble.

  • Treatment applied by habit

A business selling more than one kind of thing tends to settle into one treatment and carry it across lines that do not attract it.

  • Cross-border sales treated as local ones

Selling to customers outside Malta changes how a sale is reported, and the change is easy to miss until a return has to be corrected.

The working scope

What we take care of

  • VAT registration completed through the MTCA portal
  • Quarterly VAT returns prepared and filed by the statutory date
  • Periodic declarations and recap statements where they apply to you
  • Sales and purchase records reviewed for the treatment actually applied, not the one assumed
  • MTCA queries and correspondence handled on your behalf
  • A standing note of what falls due next, and what we need in order to prepare it

The outcome

What you gain

  • Returns filed from finished records

Each quarter prepared from books that were already up to date, rather than assembled against the deadline.

  • Treatment checked, not assumed

What was applied to each line reviewed as part of the return, so an error is caught before filing rather than after.

  • The date handled for you

Every quarterly deadline tracked from the start of the year, so it never arrives as news.
